Help Drive Europe's Green Transition from the Irish Innovation Ecosystem
Greencode Ventures is a venture capital firm focused on the most impactful early-stage, digital-first, green-transition startups in Europe. We're expanding our presence to Ireland and seeking an exceptional local representative to be our eyes, ears, and voice in the Irish startup ecosystem.

We invest in early-stage startups, especially those focused on: Green energy, Green mobility, Green buildings, Green industries.
With a home base in Finland and offices in Helsinki, Stockholm, Essen, and Munich, we invest across Europe. Our initial investment per startup is up to €2M, with significant follow-on reserves.
The Opportunity
Ireland's thriving tech ecosystem, with its strong focus on the intersection of digital and sustainability, and growing cleantech sector make it a strategic market for our expansion. We're looking for a Venture Partner or Venture Scout to join us and elevate our presence in Ireland. A call for a highly motivated, exceptional individual who is simultaneously curious for new transformational opportunities, analytical/strategic in her/his thinking, a well-connected colleague in the local ecosystem - and a genuinely kind person to work with.
As our Venture Partner / Scout for Ireland, you will be our bridge to the Irish ecosystem and contribute significantly to Greencode Ventures' mission by:
Key Responsibilities
Venture Scouting:
Identifying promising early-stage startups in Ireland aligned with our investment thesis
Contributing high-quality Irish startups to our deal flow
Supporting our investment team in due diligence and closing investments in Ireland
Ecosystem Engagement:
Building relationships with key stakeholders in the Irish startup ecosystem
Representing Greencode Ventures at relevant events and forums
Actively contributing to ecosystem development through events and community initiatives
About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
Experience in venture capital, angel investing, accelerators or startup operations
Strong existing network within the Irish startup and innovation ecosystem
Understanding of VC/PE investment dynamics and early-stage company evaluation
Genuine passion for transformation and technology's role in the green transition
Entrepreneurial mindset with ability to work autonomously and take initiative
Strategic thinking combined with execution excellence and attention to detail
Full proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)
Working Arrangement
This is a part-time position based in Ireland, with flexibility for partial remote work. Compensation will be structured to align with your experience and contributions, with emphasis on performance-based incentives tied to successful investments.
Success in This Role
Within your first year, we expect you'll have:
Significantly increased our visibility in the Irish ecosystem
Generated a long list of qualified investment opportunities with good relations to founders
Contributed to 1-2 investments in Irish startups
Established Greencode as a recognized player in Ireland's green tech investment landscape
