About the position
We are looking for a highly motivated, exceptional individual that is a structured and humble colleague – to elevate us to the next level with financial and compliance expertise, strategic thinking, and an understanding of the dynamics in VC and PE investments. As a core member of our pan-European investment firm, you will contribute significantly to the mission of Greencode Ventures as:
FINANCE & OPERATIONS MANAGER
(Based in Helsinki)
This is a strategic role with a broad scope to influence the performance of our fund. You will take ownership of Greencode Ventures' financial and operations management, ensuring they are forward-looking, cost-effective and compliant. You will be responsible for back-office operations and act as a bridge between us and our outsourcing partners, regulatory networks, portfolio companies, and LPs for reporting and compliance. You will also participate in the fund’s strategic planning and support our portfolio companies as they grow.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Support:

Portfolio planning and risk management in collaboration with the team.

Support the team in raising new funds by preparing financial models, reports, and marketing materials.

Manage investor relationships with existing and prospective LPs, ensuring transparency on fund performance.
Fund Financial Management, Controlling, Accounting & Reporting:

Full ownership of all financial data, past and future (cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, payroll, etc.).

Oversee fund financial controlling, ensuring accurate records, portfolio company financials, impact/ESG data, and valuations, while ensuring compliance with relevant standards.

Prepare quarterly reports and annual financial statements for LPs and other stakeholders and manage the audit process with external auditors to ensure accurate reporting.

Implement and maintain financial systems and software to streamline accounting, reporting, and compliance processes.

Oversee investment performance monitoring and the adoption of technology for efficient portfolio tracking, reporting, and data management.

Provide administrative support to the investment teams for decision-making and deal-making as needed.

Oversee the development of financial processes for portfolio companies.
Operations Management:

Participate in the Investment Committee and conduct financial due diligence on potential VC investments and prospective limited partners.

Manage vendor relationships, legal contracts, and other operational aspects.

Support marketing and communication tasks (content creation supported by the entire team).

Support the partners as needed especially with financial and operative matters.
LP Relations & Reporting:

Communicate with LPs regarding fund performance, distributions, and compliance matters.

Prepare reports on fund performance metrics, with the insightful analysis of portfolio performance, KPIs and possible corrective actions.
Regulatory Compliance & Taxation:

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (including fund and company regulatory issues, official documents, HR regulations, investment committees, ESG matters, investor relations, etc.).

Manage tax planning and reporting, ensuring fund structures are tax-efficient for both the firm and its investors.

Oversee tax filings at both fund and firm levels.

Manage risk and ensure compliance with company policies, including internal audits.
About You
We are looking for someone with the following background and skills:

Work experience in fund management or operations, preferably in Venture Capital.

Understanding of the dynamics of VC and PE investments.

A relevant academic degree in finance, accounting or law.

Curiosity about digital and climate technologies that can help accelerate the green transition.

An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to contribute ideas, and experience managing complex workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Full proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus, but not required).

This position is based in Helsinki, Finland, with the possibility of partial remote work.
