Meet Markus Aaltonen – Finance & Operations Manager at Greencode Ventures
We at Greencode Ventures are thrilled to welcome Markus Aaltonen as our new Finance & Operations Manager! 💚
Markus brings a wealth of experience and a passion for innovation to our team. He joins us from a renewable infrastructure investor Korkia, where he created and managed an analytics platform that served as the foundation for investment management and reporting. Prior to that, he has worked in finance and investment roles at a B2B SaaS VC fund Vendep and at corporate-startup innovation and investment house Catapult International.
Markus holds an M.Sc in Finance from Aalto University. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through sports such as surfing, and cross-country skiing, which allow him to stay energized and challenge himself both physically and mentally.
We asked Markus a few questions to get to know him better:
Why did you join Greencode?
"When I first heard about Greencode, I was immediately drawn to its mission as Finland's first green transition fund. The opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven organization focused on creating a sustainable future was irresistible. I’m inspired by the team’s collaborative and innovative approach, as well as its commitment to making a real difference. What do you expect to learn?
"I’m excited to improve how finance and operations are managed in a dynamic, purpose-driven environment. This role gives me the chance to streamline processes, create efficient systems, and learn from my colleagues’ diverse expertise. I look forward to helping build a strong foundation to support Greencode’s goals.
